THPRD Nature & Trails staff provide fun nature and science learning opportunities and hands-on activities to capture the imagination of young people and help them understand the role of nature in their lives. Touch, smell, and see new things that will spark imagination and grow awareness of the world. Come discover nature’s diversity!

Frozen Fur, Fat and Feathers: Fall is ending and the forest is getting ready for winter. Animals prepare in many ways. Examine how fur, fat and feathers help different animals stay warm in different temperatures using our artic plunge tank and observe the coats of local animals.
